This delicate Victorian Birthday card was created using a center cut of an antique postcard from the early 1900's. IT is a beautiful little embossed basket of Forget-Me-Nots with a Violet ribbon and bow at the center. There are a couple of clovers at each side for good luck! This gorgeous card features an antique piece from a 1912 trade card insert. The Pansies are lightly embossed and placed over a cut of shiny Gold cardstock. The background is made up of a fabric patterned paper and a hand trimmed paper lace. I ran an ornated paper lace strip along the card edge and trimmed it with a tiny scallop cut Gold edge. This adorable handmade Welcome Baby card features a hand stamped, painted & embellished little Bunny pull toy complete with a frosted little bead at the as the pull. He comes through the cut-out opening in the front of the card. I framed the opening in a shiny Gold cardstock and embellished the front using little baby safety pins to attach the round BABY letters. Created using a German die cut Victorian calling card dated 1901 all original for the front graphic which is raised to add dimension. The note says "LIFE BEAR FOR YOU ITS SWEETEST FLOWERS." Behind it is a heavily textured White diamond surrounded by a delicate pattern of White paper lace, a background of Pastel Pink Cabbage Roses & Butterflies lightly embellished with a very finely ground irridescent shimmer. I have painted leaves and scrolls encircling this round perfume bottle. I have used white and cobalt blue paint to paint the design. The effect is breath taking with the tone on tone design.
