Unique facemask created from a gourd that has been cut in half then had the face details burned in along with painted acrylics. Adorned with parrot and hackle feathers along with strands of white horsehair. Handcrafted by Kathe Stark.

This gourd was cut right down the center to create the raised forehead topped with parrot and hackle feathers with long strands of white horsehair flowing well below the bottom of the gourd. Gourd dyes and acrylic paints were used to achieve the colors of the southwest and woodburned hatching accents the one side of the face and burned teardrops fall from the one eye. This gourd requires a wall space of 20" in height x 6-1/2" in width. The back of the gourd is finished in black and sealed.
