24" necklace with antique Afghan round medallion. This is probably made from "nickel silver", a silver alloy commonly used for the tribal silverwork in the region. The inlay is carnelian colored glass. The age of this is unknown but it is not a new piece. Beads include Afghan hand-shaped serpentine barrel beads and Chinese carnelian (heated) and turquoise nuggets, (stablized). Sterling silver Bali-style beads and spacers, made in India.
