Hello, my name is Paul Tuminno the hungryartist33,I have been working as graphic artist since the early 1970’s creating hand painted signs and graphics in the Buffalo and Western N.Y.area.I learned to paint working under my late father Ignatious Tuminno in the 1960’s. His specialty was hand lettering and 23kt.goldleaf signs.
With the invention of computer graphics things have changed a lot in the sign business.
Not wanting to stop painting I looked for ways to keep this skill alive and started doing more custom type work. This included making aged or antique signs for stores and gift shops on stressed painted wood,drift wood,barn wood,painted circles,stones, rusty metal,animal skin or just about anything that looks nice to the eye.
Slowly I have been listing items on different e-sites and hope to have a web gallery soon.
One of my goals is to work with customers and their ideas to create a unique gift or item for the home,office,work shop,cabin, ect. as well as selling the items I like to create.
Some examples are, welcome sign w/flowers or ethnic/cultural symbol(s),family name w/décor., ethnic sayings or symbols , many many others.Item can be made to look new or antiqued to look 100 years old, the possibilities are endless.It’s fun working with a customer and their ideas creating a gift or art item for the home.You can use your imagination and be part of the creation.If you find a stone or piece of drift wood ect. you like you could ship it to me and have the painting done on that.I have a collection of wood and other materials that can be used also.
