Heart Ring Box
This small heart-shaped box is the perfect presentation box for that special ring or pair of earrings. The box is 3 1/4 " x 3 1/4" x 1 7/8" high. The inner storage compartment is 2 1/8" diameter and 7/8" deep. The swivel top is held closed by an inlaid rare earth magnet. The box is made of Bloodwood and finished with danish oil and carnuba wax.

Canarywood medium Jewelry Box
This Jewelry box combines Canarywood and Spalted Birch with very striking results. Canarywood comes from Central and South America. Spalting is a process of decay that sets in as a tree dies. Caught at the right time, each piece carries unique patterns.
The box itself is approximately 13" wide, 8" deep and 5 1/2" high. Its lower compartment has removeable dividers, and above that are two half-width sliding trays. The top tray ring storage. The lining is red velvet, and the finish lacquer. Hinges are solid milled brass with built-in stops. |

Spalted Maple and Walnut Jewelry Box
Spalting occurs when a tree dies and fungi start to form. This causes changes in color, and dark lines representing battle lines between fungi. Caught at just the right time, these changes can be preserved and yield some outstanding figured woods. This box is one example. The box is Spalted Maple and the lid and trim Walnut. Inside are two sliding trays and a divided lower level. Hinges are solid brass with built-in stops to hold the lid in the open position. The trays and box bottoms are lined with brown faux suede. Canarywood and Flame Birch Jewelry Box
This larger box is very striking, with highly figured Canarywood for the main box, and Flame Birch on the lid. The lid itself is pinned with and pivots on brass rods. The handle as well as the legs are made of Ziricote from Southern Mexico. Inside the bottom of the box has removable dividers above which a full width, ¾ depth tray is open to accept longer pieces such as necklaces and bracelets. The box is 10" x 15" x 4" approximately. The tray and box bottoms are lined with a grey faux suede material, and the box is finished in satin lacquer. |
