This Cold Processed Soap method retains 100% of the NATURAL GLYCERIN which is essential to hydrate your skin. Commercial brands often siphon off the glycerin to sell as a by-product. In doing so their soap can leave you feeling dry and itchy.
This is NOT a “Glycerin Soap”. What is referred to as Glycerin Soap is a melt and pour product that comes from a factory that others re-melt at home or in their store. They then add color, scent and Glycerin to the melted product. They are pretty and smell good but they do not contain the necessary emollients to hydrate and nurture your skin.
True homemade soaps, like the ones offered here by Sweet Harvest Farms, don’t need to have Glycerin added-it’s already there! Organic and natural herbs that are proven medicinal are added to some of the recipes. This soap is actually an all natural Doggy Soap! I must tell you though, that I have many customers that purchse this soap for themselves becasue they love the smell!! LOL! It is a human soap that you and I can use but the scented oils I use to repel fleas and ticks are quite pleasing to us! The Decadent Dog also contains crushed Sweet Annie. Sweet Annie is an herb that contains natural antibiotic and anti-bacterial properties. This was added to help soothe and heal raw areas where dogs tend to scratch.
Some people find they are allergic to the Sweet Annie so a patch test is recommended before you use this on yourself or you dog. Also it is important to keep this soap away from cats as oils used in many homemade soaps are deadly to felines while safe for dogs and humans.
Each 5 oz bar will last for months as this soap should be used in-between groomings (or every 2 weeks.
