"Hmmm. . . creative process . .. something I am not sure I really have! As for that matter, I have never even given it much thought until today . . .but let's give it a try! I'll leave it to you to decide if I have a creative process or not!
Step #1: Brain
Step #2: Brain has a vision that passes through it- whether it be colors or an "object" (case in point- see "PEACOCK NECKLACE").
Step #3: Brain decides it is going to get to the core of this vision- no matter what brick walls it slam...read more"

THE WILD GARDEN: MODULAR NECKLACE! WEAR FIVE DIFFERENT WAYS! MORE THAN 34 CARATS PF AAA+ FACETED TOURMALINE! This necklace is made from a wide variety of beads, ranging from more than 34 carats of AAA+ Tourmaline, faceted olive green fw pearls, Tundura Sapphire and Carnelian . . .to vintage glass leaves, flowers, seed beads and assorted glass "other"! This necklace started out as one thing- and turned into another . . .a modular necklace that can be worn five different ways! The small piece with the hook on it is the key component. As you can see from the pictures, you can wear the necklace with the piece attached to the front for that "sultry look"; it can be worn without it for a more "casual look"; it attaches to the adjustable chain back . . . adding "accent" to low-back dresses and tops; and it can be worn without it; again- for a more casual look. The modular component can also be worn separately as a pin- it's long and "jingly"- great on your shirt and soooo cool pinned to a pair of blue jeans at the hip! Done on sterling silver chain and wrapped with sterling silver wire. Literally hundreds of beads and over a hundred meticulous wraps. Dipped in Liver of Sulfur- which gives the silver a "Titanium" look.
I have included a picture of the matching earrings. They are made with the same "ingredients" I used to make the necklace! If you buy them along with the necklace as a set, you will save money! Who doesn't like to save money??! I have listed the price of the set. However- if you'd prefer to buy them without the necklace, the price is listed. |

BEADED SAFARI NECKLACE/(TIGER PURSE) This beautiful and unique one-of-a-kind necklace was made to go with a vintage alligator purse I hand painted. If you like what you see, I can make one for you -either similar to the one shown or in colors to suit your own personal taste.
The centerpiece of the necklace is done on a "canvas" of black matte triangle beads in a flat. freeform Peyote stitch. But OH(!) the surprises in the "canvas". The vibrant pieces of Dichroic glass add a lot of subdued sparkle, whimsical color and depth. The iridescent blue fw pearls just look great against the black matte beads . . .so I HAD to add them! The shiny gold triangle beads break up the monotony of the black- as do the many other colors of semi-precious beads and seed beads I used. And let's not forget the Swarovsky crystal! The few pieces I put in add just the right amount of shimmer!
The "chain" is made up of six strands of coordinated bugle and seed beads. That is six strands per side! Each side was twisted and attached to a beautiful sterling silver clasp. HOWEVER(!), you can untwist the strands and wear them loose for a different look!
This is a great necklace for just about any mode of dress- from blue jeans to that "little black dress".
I am including a picture of the front of the alligator purse that I hand painted so you can see an example of the other "wearable art" I do, and how I can coordinate accessories. What you cannot see in the picture of the purse is the dimension that it has. The fur is actually "carved out" using one medium so it looks real. The nose is made with a light holding medium so not only does it pop off the tiger's face, it looks and feels very real! The jungle brush is done using another process- making layers so the tiger looks like it is actually nestled in the cool, thick grass and leaves of the jungle. And you can actually spill something on the purse, wipe it clean with a damp cloth . . .and pat it dry with a soft cloth. All thanks to my 25 layers of "secret" glaze!
These purses can be made to order- and there is a 90 day wait period because the work is so involved. This purse sold for $1.200.00 last year, but prices vary as do shipping details.

PINK FLORAL NECKLACE/HAND PAINTED & EMBELLISHED MARILYN MONROE SATIN PURSE! I made this necklace to compliment a satin purse I hand painted. Both of them sold very quickly ($250.00 for the necklace; $350.00 for the purse)- but not before it the purse was featured in a magazine(Sarasota Downtown and Beyond) for a full page ad, called "Really Cool Stuff". It was quite an honor- as the magazine looked in more than 40 high-end boutiques and "hundreds of purses" along FL's gulf beach communities before deciding on mine . . .which turned out to be the very first one they had seen! I will have the purse posted in the gallery within the next few days- but I need to calculate the shipping info. Thus, I must list them separately. My reason for showing the purse is to let you see another example of the kind of custom,
"made to match", wearable art I do.
The necklace is made with 'kind-of big' (.75" width by .5" high) pink glass flowers, three shades of delicate glass leaves, small green flowers, vintage, gold-tone, octagon (or 'stop sign' shaped) Swarovsky crystal and assorted seed beads. Each seed bead accented flower and each leaf was meticulously wire wrapped using sterling silver(SS) wire onto SS chain. The necklace has a an adjustable chain hook and eye clasp- and a cluster of flowers is attached to the back of the necklace because I wanted the back to be as pretty as the front . . .and in this case it just so happened to be reminiscent of the Ms. Monroe era. This particular necklace was 16 inches long without using the adjustable drop chain clasp- but yours can be made to your specs! The colors and even the theme of the necklace(maybe you like precious stones and/or pearls?) can be custom made to suit your taste. Custom orders are my forte-I really enjoy working with people to create exactly (or close to it!) what they want. So- dare to dream . . .or order one very close to the one shown if that's your fancy! Being a part of bringing YOUR idea to fruition is very enjoyable, fun and satisfying!
Remember- all necklaces will vary slightly from the one shown. This is because they are all HAND MADE and ONE- OF-A-KIND. These slight variances will NOT be obvious and will NOT make a difference in the finished necklace.
Here's a little info on the purse: I wanted Ms. Monroe to look larger than life. So here's my rendition of her-nestled in a bed of roses on the famous Hollywood hillside that still proudly has the famous Hollywood sign sitting way atop it. It has a surreal look to it -not because I planned it that way; but because it just sort of morphed into that style about halfway through. So I ran with it! The painting is done in several different mediums- allowing me to obtain a 3-D look. Ms. Monroe's hair is "sculpted" using a medium that holds it's shape but is flexible (so the paint won't crack from opening and closing it); the Hollywood Sign is slightly raised using another medium- as are the flowers. Swarovsky flatback crystals adorn her neck, wrist and earrings, adding a touch of "Diamond-like" sparkle. The midnight blue nite sky is aglow with yet more Swarovsky crystals. Even her lips are ever-so- slightly raised! I put 30 coats of my secret flexible glaze on the purse- and when the last coat dried, it looked as though the painting was encased in glass! Quite a stunning effect! Although I don't recommend spilling anything on the purse- accidents will happen. My secret glaze acts as stain barrier . . . and it can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and dried with a soft one. These purses involve many steps, and depending on how many orders I have, there could be a two or even three month wait. So plan early! Orders for the upcoming fall and winter holiday season's should be placed by August. I will list some purses I have available now . . .but they go quick so if you see one you like- don't delay too much!
Also- like the necklace- if we work together via email, the purse can be any theme/colors you want. A deposit 25% deposit will be req |

"MONEY BAGS": HAND PAINTED/EMBELLISHED TROMP L'OIEL VINTAGE CLUTCH. I was determined to list this purse today because it is just a really fun, year-round clutch . . .and the only one available until I make another that's similar . . . which can take anywhere from two weeks to a month.
This is such a great purse . . . one of my best sellers! I have made six this year alone (that's about when I made the original one). I put it into a high-end shop on the posh St. Armand's Cr., FL, and before I knew it- I had sold the first and the orders started coming in.
This purse is large, leather clutch. I was going for something that could be worn with blue jeans and sneaker-thus the hand painted "denim" look and color on the base of the purse. I decided the flap would have to have good contrast- so I went with a color called Halo Pink. It's hard to see on a PC monitor (also- color varies from one monitor to an other)- but there are shades of deep pink, gold, orange and some lighter pinks. As you move the purse in the light- you can see many different colors with just a touch of iridescence. The paper money was painted on in true Tromp L'oiel fashion. To give the money depth, I took paper and cut it to the size of money. Some I folded, some I left unfolded. I wanted the money to look scattered. After I used a special medium to glue the paper down . . .I went to work meticulously painting the money in a very realistic fashion(which is what Tromp L'oiel is- painting a realistic looking scene- in this case the scattered 1$, $5, and $10 dollar bills). I was going to paint the change on- but I thought it would be way more fun to take actual change and sort of toss it on the purse and glue it (with a strong glue made for permanent bonding of this kind) where it landed. It was tricky getting the "toss" just right- but after about six or seven tries, I was happy with the way it looked. After I carefully glued the coins down- I coated the purse with 25 coats of my secret glaze to not only protect it, but to give it more dimension.
This would have made a great bag for the fast approaching fourth of July- (it's still possible if you act fast!) . . .but from the reactions I have seen and the amount of purses I have sold with this theme (but still keeping them all one-of-a-kind!)- this is a "must have" purse that will jazz up your wardrobe and make you the "talk of the town"!
This theme of this purse, as I mentioned before- can be done again if you'd like to custom order one. The style of the purse can be changed (if you want vintage- you are guaranteed a different purse no matter what!), as well as the colors and the denominations of the paper money.
THE PURSE IS 11.5" ACCROSS, 6" HIGH AND HAS A 2.5" GUSSET. LINING IS SILK AND IS IN GREAT SHAPE!
Just think(!) . . . if you own this purse or one like you'll be getting the only purse that comes with it's very own 'instant rebate' -right on itself! You will never have to worry about not having enough change for a phone call or a toll booth, either! You can just pry the change off the purse!
Many thanks for looking . . .and may I please borrow a dime?!

HOLE IN BAG This is a vintage (1950's), navy blue leather/leather lined Kelly-style purse that I hand painted/embellished using the Tromp L'oiel method of painting.
The purse is in MINT condition to begin with. I wanted to do something different- so I decided to try to make it look like there was hole torn in the purse . . .allowing you and others to "view" the contents of the inside of the bag. I used several dimensional mediums (ones that hold their shape) to get the effect I wanted. As you can see by the pictures- there is a pair of sunglasses, Pez, keys, an open and somewhat wayward lipstick (the color of the lipstick is on other items in the "viewing hole")- among other various "toss-it-in-ones-purse" things.
There is even a strand of pink knotted "pearls" that has made it's way out of the hole and over the back of the purse . . .ending with a gold-tone clasp.
This purse is pure fun- and it will assuredly add pizzazz and funk to anything you choose to wear it with. And what a GREAT conversation piece!
The measurements are 10" across, 8" high, 3" wide shut, and 7" wide open. There is approximately 6" of room from the top of the purse to the underside of the handle. This can be worn as a comfortably "snug" baquette by most.
The purse is coated with my "secret" glaze- so if you need to wipe it clean- you will not harm the purse. All of my hand painted/embellished purses come with care instructions.
Please remember- all of my hand painted/embellished bags are one-of-a-kind, so I need several weeks to two months notice if you see one you like and it's not the original piece. The ones I have up by now are available- but they tend to go quick once people find them. Don't forget- they make great gifts and I do special orders with a 25% deposit. |

SOOO COOL "PEACOCK" NECKLACE! This necklace "is" because I wanted to do something that reminded me of a peacock in this year's popular colors. I used Lemon Quartz, iridescent, olive green Freshwater Pearls, Czech glass, Swarovsky crystals, Sterling silver wire, assorted seed beads and ribbon yarn. It is strung on 19 strand, .018 Beadalon, so it is sturdy but not too stiff! The SS wire is securely "run through" parts of the necklace, creating abstract shapes around the outer and inner walls of the strung beads. This is a very beautiful, very colorful necklace- and people of all ages seem to like it. A designer friend told me that this necklace can be worn with blue jeans to the "M_V" Music Awards . . . and then with a formal gown to the after the show parties. It's 15.5" long. The clap is Sterling Silver. This is very, very comfortable to wear and quite a stunning piece! If you let me know, I can change the colors/length/stones to suit your needs. Please allow a five day "custom make it for you" time frame for this to be completed. Thanks for the courtesy! IF I CAN CREATE WHAT I DREAM OF . . .I CAN CREATE WHAT YOU DREAM OF, AS WELL! ***YIKES! GADZOOKS! HOLY PIXEL, BATMAN! PLEASE FORGIVE THE HUMONGOUS SIZE OF THE PICTURES! FOR SOME REASON, THEY ARE SOOOOOO BIG WHEN YOU DOUBLE CLICK THEM INTO THE "BIG VIEW" WINDOW, YOU CAN SEE A DUST MITE HERE AND THERE! AND I PROMISE(!)- I DUST ALL OF MY PIECES REGULARLY . . .(???) REALLY, THEY ARE SO BIG THAT THE PICTURES ARE ACTUALLY OVER-PIXILATED(?) OR SOMETHING. THE NECKLACE DOES NOT NOT NOT LOOK AS "CHOPPY" AND "HARSH" AS THESE PICS MAKE IT LOOK. THINK OF THIS-SOMEONE TAKES A PIC OF YOUR FACE AND MAGNIFIES THE PORES A HUNDRED TIMES. PROBABLY- THAT WOULD NOT BE A SUCH A PRETTY SITE BECAUSE YOU'D SEE THE INDIVIDUAL PORES AND IMPERFECTIONS THAT YOU WOULDN'T NORMALLY SEE, OTHER-WISE. NOT THAT ANY OF YOU HAVE IMPERFECTIONS! I AM MERELY TRYING TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT THESE GIANT SIZE PICS HAVE DONE TO THIS LOVELY. DELICATE AND METICULOUSLY WIRE-WRAPPED NECKLACE . . .THEY'VE TURNED IT INTO A MONSTER-LIKE SEA URCHIN WITH TENTACLES! I AM WORKING ON RESOLVING THE PROBLEM

2DIE4! MODULAR! BRIDAL/SECIAL OCCASION NECKLACE MULTI-STRAND PEARL, NATURAL, FACETED & SWAROVSKY CRYSTAL, BALI SILVER ROSE PENDANTS ON STERLING CHAIN This one-of-a-kind bridal/special occasion/dress up and funk-ups your blue jeans.
necklace has some hidden surprises! Designed to go with bridal dresses of all kinds . . .and many, many formal occasion dresses (think black, lavender, gray, pink, blue, etc. . .!), it can be worn several different ways. One way is with the drop hanging down the front (right about u-know-where- so sexy!. Another is with the drop hanging down the just above the middle of the back. And then there is that, "off to the side" look. However(!)- if you need something a little less fancy- the chain drop can come off leaving the roses on. . .either all three or just the two smaller ones . . . or the roses can all come off- leaving just the multi-strand pearl necklace . . .a classic look you just cannot go wrong with!
Disbursed throughout the multi-strands of pearls, there are some natural, faceted crystals. This gives it just a touch of sparkle, and just the right amount of eye-catching appeal!
Each pearl and crystal that hang from the multi-strand sterling silver drop is meticulously wire-wrapped for a professionally finished look.
The pearl strands vary in length (to give it a "tousled") fit a 14" neck- right around the nape of most women's necks. This can be adjusted to fit anyone with three weeks notice and a small deposit. The strands of pearls can also be switched to another stone(s) as per any special order terms.
So here you have it ladies- and gents looking for that perfect gift for your lady(!)- a cannot go wrong bridal/special occasion/"I would even wear it with the right shirt and blue jeans!".

AAA+ TPURMALINE/CRYSTAL/BEADED COLLAR W/ADJUSTABLE BACK DROP CLOSURE If you want to keep up with fashion this year-round beaded collar with adjustable 14k gf chain drop is just the ticket! The majority of this collar is made from AAA+ TOURMALINE in many of the various colors TOURMALINE comes in. I used faceted rondelles and clear 3mm and 4mm round Tourmaline . . .and coordinating seed beads to tie it all together. Still feeling it was missing something- I individually sewed a Swarovsky, turquoise opalescent, bi-cone crystal drop in the middle of each "station". Each one of these was then matched with a Tourmaline rondelle to complete the drop. The weave is a take on a square stitch . . .my own take! There are no mistakes in beading if the end product works. I believe in being bold and daring with colors and variations on stitches. When it doesn't work- I just rip the piece apart and cry for a week. Anyone notice that Kleenex stock is on the rise?? Ha ha. This piece will look great with anything from jeans to business attire, to formal wear. Imagine how feminine you'll feel with the adjustable chain drop (which also has Tourmaline dangling from the bottom!) hanging down your back. And oh yes(!)- how gorgeous you will look from the front with all of those beautiful colors carefully woven by hand glistening in the light. And each kind of light- gives it a different look, too! You cannot miss with this one. If you would like one in a different color scheme- I will need three to four weeks notice. I also do a similar necklace in a "bandana style" (pictured). The one pictured has sold- this is a very popular design . . .but it should give you an idea of what's available. And remember- there's always room for longer dangles! This is a very versatile design- and you can have it your way! Thanks for looking!! |

"PATIENCE" : A REALLY BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN STYLE NECKLACE Yes, by gum(!) . . .there is a reason I named this necklace "PATIENCE". Basically- because a lot of it went into designing it! When I set my mind to something- I do the research! And for this particular necklace, I combined several different elements of several different necklaces to come up with this piece. As I went along, and as usual, I altered the design at least five or six times until I had the "look" I was after.
The necklace is made out of a sterling silver (which I dipped in Liver of Sulfur to give the silver a "modern- antiqued", titanium look) and 19 strand (sturdy!) Soft-Flex, high quality and soft multi-colored FW pearls, Swarovsky crystals and accent beads in earth tones. For the back strand of the necklace, I used natural, faceted AAA+ clear crystal. And of course- there is an adjustable drop chain in the back which fastens together with a SS heart shaped clasp! Don't forget- I wire wrap and/or professionally finish off each individual bead I put on.
I was after a look that could be bridal, special occasion, or just plain funky to dress up a pair of jeans. And I wanted this to be a year-round necklace- one that can take a person from summer to spring. That's why I accented with darker seed beads and, used different shades of FW pearls, and gave the chain an ultra cool look!
By now- you may know my philosophy on fashion rules and jewelry . . .there are none. If you think it looks good- then make yourself happy and wear it!
Just a little note: while doing my research for this piece, I couldn't help but notice the prices on "similar" . . . but not quite as detailed or versatile as this one. The prices were well into the thousands. I know I use the best materials available for my work . . .just like other designers do. Okay- I relent on the gold- but GF wears EXACTLY like 14K! And SS is SS! But I don't charge what they do, because my name is not Dee-or or Goochi (certain names have been changed to protect the innocent!).
So- whether you are a bride looking for a great necklace to match your dream dress . . .or someone who needs a necklace for that special formal gala . . .or someone who dares to be a bit different (like me) and wear the necklace with a cool pair of jeans and a loose blouse or V-neck T-shirt . . . then this is for you!
As with all of my pieces- changes can be made to suit your own personal taste. All special requests require a small deposit and a three to four week window to make it.
Thank you for stopping by and looking at my designs! |

BEAUTIFUL GOOD FOR FALL; GOOD FOR ALL EARRINGS! AAA+, FACETED, GREEN GARNET BRIOLETTES, FACETED ONYX, GOLD TOURMALINE BRIOLETTE, SEED BEAD AND LEAF ACCETS, SS CHAIN. Geeeeeeeee whiz! I think I covered most of the description in the title!
These earring match a necklace I have up for sale (see if you can guess which one!?!). They go right along with today's trendy long earrings- a full 3.3" long! They are made from AAA+ green garnet (9mm long by 5mm across), a faceted, black onyx, 8mm ball, and as a substitute for not having any little citrine briolettes, I had to use AAA+ gold (untreated) TOURMALINE! All of this, a few seed beads and a SS leaf for accent . . .carefully wire-wrapped onto SS chain . . .and VOILA(!)-here be-ith the earrings! |

"BY THE SEA" . . .2DIE4(!) ABALONE DISCS HANGING FREE-FORM FROM SS CHAIN, OLIVE GREEN, LEAF PEARLS, FACETED TURQUOISE RONDELLES AND GREEN TURQUOISE NUGGET BEADS! This is one of my more abstract pieces-meaning that it is not exactly symmetrical. I usually do pieces that have 'whatever's hanging' on each half of the necklace . . .a mirror image of the other half. However- I am trying to let my mind wander more . . .and when I found these GORGEOUS mad RARE ABALONE discs . . .I knew I had to try something that would be as "free as the ocean" they came from. I never knew so many colors were in Abalone- we think of blues and greens . . .but there are pink and violet and purple tones as well. However- I didn't go that nuts. I did accent the Abalone with a layer of "light yellowy-olive green leaf pearls- and the two compliment each other beautifully! Then I used some AAA+ 7mm faceted Turquoise rondelles- and to make the 'pop', on each end I used a pink seed bead, a round black crystal and an 8mm faceted onyx ball. I used two stations of these on either side- and in the middle of the stations is a big (20mm by 25mm- approximately), meticulously wire-wrapped, apple green turquoise nugget bead! And to keep the flow of the "sea theme" going, I used a beautiful SS dolphin clasp. The necklace is 16 inches in length. I didn't put an adjustable drop- chain on the back- but can do so if you'd like. And of course- if you like the style but would prefer different drops and colors . . .I can accommodate for a small down payment.
As with all of my . . .there are no fashion boundaries. I can see this piece with anything from blue jeans to business casual to formal affair.
Thanks for stopping by . . .and be sure to check out all of the other beautiful accessories made by other artists! |

AAA+ TOURMALINE NECKLACE! TRIPLE STRAND WITH REMOVABLE BAIL! OVER 100 CARATS OF TOURMALINE! If you like the many colors of the precious stone Tourmaline, then this necklace might be just what you're looking for. I wanted to do a Tourmaline necklace that would show off the beauty of this precious gemstone and the plethora of colors of NATURAL colors it comes in. So- what better than a triple strand to make sure I didn't miss a color . . .and one that can be worn free hanging, twisted or either way with the (removable) bail. The bail is a vintage piece of glass with a faceted, 6mm, crystal clear, pink Tourmaline bead attached. I even strayed from my usual silver and used top quality gold filled findings (check out the clasp!). This choice gives the necklace a bit more of a formal look- but I would WEAR IT WITH ANYTHING because it goes with EVERYTHING! You know my motto (I hope!): There are no rules with jewelry . . . the only thing that counts is whether or not you like it or not. If you do- then WEAR IT!
The Tourmaline I used to compose this necklace was hand picked . . .I wanted all of the rondelles to be as close in size as possible. However- there are always slight variances- but this tends to add to the natural beauty of the stone. I made sure to get all of the colors in there . . .the common pinks and greens- the not-so-common blues and gelds and even clear. I used some black as I felt they help show off the various colors of greens (from leaf to olive!) as I gradually strung them on from dark to light. I used a very strong beading wire- which made the stringing process a little more difficult . . .not all of the Tourmaline had holes big enough for it to fit through. The necklace is fluid in movement- it is NOT stiff. And just in case you missed it the title- there's over 121 carats of tourmaline on this necklace!
Makes a great Fall necklace- a great necklace for the Winter holidays (think greens and cranberry-red colors)-a great Spring necklace (flowers!), and a great summer necklace (think flowers and colors of tropical seas!). A great gift, too!
Please know, that because of the disastrous hurricane season we are having (I live in Florida now and have experienced hurricanes that seemed awful at the time . . . but looking back somehow pale in comparison to Katrina's wrath), I will be donating 5% of all sales I make to the Red Cross. I would like to donate more- but I am a small business. As it (hopefully) grows, I will donate more. To anyone affected by Katrina- my heart truly goes out to you. I wish you all the best- and I know you will be back on your feet very, very soon.
Thank you for looking! Please be sure to take a look at all of the other wonderful work by all of the other extremely talented artists. |

AAA+, FACETED, FLASH LABRADORITE, TRIPLE NECKLACE SET! TRENDY BUT CLASSIC! I usually shy away from making trendy pieces- so I "hunkered down" and made myself get with the program. Yes- this triple, nesting necklace set is all the rage . . .but I designed it so after the rage is long gone . . .you will still be able to wear each or all of these components as a classic-styled necklace.
Oh- one more reason I did this particular set . . .to showcase the STUNNING, 9-10mm high by 5-7mm wide, SUPER-FLASH, FACETED TEAR DROP LABRADORITE! These stone are unbelievably GORGEOUS! So much flash they almost look like opals! And I hand picked each one to make sure this set has LOTS of FLASH! I even made matching earrings (for sale separately)! I found these stones at a gem show- and I fell in love. I had to have them- so now y'all know where my PIN money went this month!
All of the necklaces are done in sterling silver, and to make the Labradorite "POP OUT" even more . . .I added SS wheat leaves (they are smooth and lend nice contrast to the faceted stones!)and flat, round, black wood beads (these have no shine, and therefore add A LOT of contrast to the AMAZING, MULTI-TONED, BLUE FLASH of the Labradorite!!) I dipped the necklaces in Liver of Sulfur(do you know I've JUST realized I've been misspelling (sulfur {correct} as "sulpher"{???} until this very moment?? And I've used it- what{?}- over a COUPLE of HUNDRED TIMES{!!!} over the last FOUR years??? GEEEEEZE!!)for yet another layer of depth and contrast! I wish the camera could pick up all of the colors the Liver of SULFUR(!) turns the silver. There are shades of deep gold, brass, blue, black, deep purple (does anyone remember the 70's rock group with the same name?), copper . . .just to name a few!
All of the necklaces have four inch, adjustable drop chain extenders- so no need to worry about them fitting you. I will give you the measurements of each necklace WITHOUT the length of the extender!
The shortest necklace is 15.5" long- and rests right about at the nape of one's neck. The centerpiece is about 1.5" long- and has THREE gorgeous
The medium-length necklace is just about 22" long. It has one center drop and two side drops that create a "pattern" with the shortest necklace. The drops are the same as the one in the shortest necklace.
The longest necklace is very close to 25" long. It also has three drops (that match the ones in the first two necklaces), and several single Labradorite drops. This necklace completes the "pattern" of the set.
Each necklace can be worn alone or in any combination. Just in case, I am providing instructions:
*You can wear the small all by itself.
*You can wear the medium length one all by itself.
*You can wear the long one all by itself.
*You can wear the short one with medium one.
*You can wear the short one with the long one.
*You can wear the medium one with the long one.
*You can wear the short one, the medium one AND the long one ALL TOGETHER!
*You can decide not to wear them at all-but this is an extremely bad idea. I don't suggest this option unless you are wearing another one of my creations . . .or there are dire circumstances preventing you from wearing a necklace.
Although I would prefer to sell this particular set as such, I am perfectly willing to make separate necklaces for anyone who would like to purchase one or two of them. Just specify the size you want and email me! The price for the short one is 49.00, the medium is 69.00 and the long one is 90.00. Buy all three and SAVE!!
Please know that 5% of my net sale of any item I sell will be donated to the Red cross to aid the recent hurricane victims.
Thank you for looking- and please take a look at all of the other fabulous items by the other fabulous artists on this site!

AAA+ SUPER-FLASH, FACETED TEARDROP, LABRADORITE EARRINGS! BEE-U-TEE-FUL! These earring were designed to match the triple necklace set I have listed- but they would look great with or without the necklaces (BETTER WITH!!! HINT! HINT! HINT!)
The earring are done on SS lever-backs- so you don't have to worry about loosing one or both! I hand picked the Labradorite- making sure each 9-10mm high by 5-6mm across, faceted teardrop has LOADS of FLASH! As I said in the description for the necklaces . . .these are so beautiful they remind me of opals!
Each one also has a SS, smooth wheat leaf for contrast, and a no-shine, flat, round, black wood bead to really make the multi-tones of the blue Labradorite POP! For further depth, I dipped the earrings in Liver of Sulfur- which gives the silver a titanium look. And seed beads accents tie everything together . . .
The earring drop is 1.5" long- add another 3/4" for the lever-back. They are not too long or too short!
I am donating 5% of my net sales to the recent hurricane victims . . .via the Red Cross. It's not much- but as sales increase- so will the donation!

WILD FLOWERS BEADED NECKLACE This necklace was made keeping the colors of Fall I remember as a "younger person" in mind. I grew up on Long Island-which is in New York state. I have been a successful bead artist for 15 years now, and I think most of my inspiration has come from the colors and the "look" of each of the four different seasons.
This necklace was made by using a round Peyote stitch to make the chain, and then by securely sewing on different glass beads(new and vintage) to get the right color scheme and wild flower look.
The clasp is a simple loop with a vintage button that it hooks onto it.
This necklace is 14.5" long- it is a "longer" choker. I can make the necklace in different sizes- and would actually appreciate it of you'd tell me the measurement you'd desire. Also- the colors can be the same (with some slight variation in the random glass beads), or in completely different colors. I did a similar one in black- and it came out with a totally different look . . .more formal, but wearable with blue jeans. This one- perfect for all year-round! Especially Fall! And Spring. And Summer. And to brighten and warm a cold Winter's day! Also- the clasp can be done a number of ways, as well. Obviously- if you would like this necklace any different than the one shown- I will need a couple of weeks to make it (due to other orders I have to complete).
Thanks so much for looking- and please take a look at all of the wonderful things the other talented artists have for sale!
Remember the holidays are approaching . . .be wise and shop early! Especially if you want a one-of-a-kind gift- they take a bit of time to make! But OH(!) how special they are! |

TRIPLE-TIERED CHOC FULL OF LEAVES(!) NECKLACE This is one of my favorite pieces for a number of reasons. It's a very drippy, very sexy necklace. Am I allowed to say that? Also- the colors look great with everything . . .black, white, lavender, blue, green, gray . . . and that's because the new and vintage glass beads, crystal and dichroic glass I used have all of those colors in it. It reminds me of a oak or maple tree that is in it's peak of green, lush leaves. Adding to this "leafy" effect are the free-flowing tiers that fall right below the top of one's bust-line. I hope I am allowed to say, too! This is a very family oriented necklace-although it's description sounds a little "mature". Really- you could show it on a cartoon channel at 11:00 a.m.! A over three (who doesn't put things in their mouth anymore!) could wear it! But on an adult? OOOOH-LA-LA!!
The necklace is about 27" long . . .but the first tier lies at about 19". The second tier- at about 21- and the third which is right underneath the second . . .and has most of the longer, drippy pieces that form the "V" shape. To bring out the colors of the multi-toned green and "bluish" leaves, every single one of them is accented with seed beads. This piece is chock full of leaves and beads! Also- there are two gorgeous blue pieces of dichroic glass a few inches above the first tier. There is a close up of one of the beads to show you how pretty they are. I dipped the SS chain in Liver of Sulfur to make the colors "pop" out even more.
There is a SS Sterling round clasp, the kind which has a lever that you squeeze to make it slide in and catch, and do the same to make it detach. It is a vintage clasp- and has the loveliest multi-tone blue-green piece of glass in it. I even hesitated to use it because I only had one- but that's how pretty the clasp is! I didn't take a picture of it- and right now I cannot because it's in the shop I teach in- but I will try to add a pic next week. Unless of course someone buys the necklace before that! That would be nice!!!

Jungle Necklace This necklace was a definite progression! It started out as two projects- the drop half (lower) to become a necklace- and the beaded part was to become a bracelet. I liked the bracelet part0- so I decided to "keep on keepin' on!"-and made a choker. However- I didn't finish the choker, because I just thought it was missing something. So I tossed it onto my (very organized- ha ha ha ha ha) and one of about four work trays I use- and glanced to make sure it didn't miss the target and land on the floor. It landed just to the top of the bottom of what now the rest of the necklace. Did you ever have a moment? An epiphany? Like the gray clouds parted and the sun just lit the landscape up for as far as you could see? I even think I even heard orchestra music- just a few notes: DOT TA DA DAAAA! Anyway- there it was- the answer- combine both projects into one and you will have a (not to sound conceited!) a fabulous necklace!
Okay- it's comprised of two very sturdy rows of triple square stitched bugle and triangle beads, gold filled chain, stick pearls, AAA+ faceted garnet, resin beads for color, pearls, faceted black onyx, abalone, little gold seed pearls- even in-between every center drilled stick pearl for contrast, olive green recycled beach glass and seed beads to enhance colors. The parts that were hand sewn with nymo are very, very SECURE! I am a fanatic on things like sturdiness-I have yet to have a piece unravel. Just don't use sharp objects on the beaded parts- I cannot be held liable for bead-rage! The center drilled stick pearls are strung on strong, gold Beadalon . . . everything is meticulously wire-wrapped. The back has an adjustable drop chain with a hand sewn (DUH!) gold seed pearl and garnet double-looped toggle that keeps the stick pearl, adorned with a garnet accent, in place. At the first loop it measures 16"- not including the beaded drop. If you were to wear the necklace at the second loop- it measures in at 18". Another loop can be added on if you so desire for a nominal fee. The drop- which doesn't effect the size- is 3" long. So this necklace would hang either 11" down your chest (censor! censor! censor!) or 13"! It's very sexy- very drippy- very "wear it all year-round" And you know (if you've read my descriptions) -I don't believe in the rules of fashion when it comes to wearing pieces like this. These ARE the pieces that you can wear with blue jeans and a black, brown, cream, olive or ANY color v-neck shirt or blouse. These ARE the necklaces you can wear to very formal affairs, as well! I tired this on when I finished it- and I put on a beautiful, formal, shiny, micro-pleated, olive green, sleeveless dress. It looked great! Then I wore it to the place I teach beading at- and I was wearing jeans and a blouse with earthy olive green leaves, and some muted blue and violet (the blouse was is semi-sheer but not fancy at all- the pattern broad and scattered- not all over the blouse in other words. I got a ton of compliments. Of course- I was about to teach a class- so they may have been nice to me so I would teach them correctly . . .but even if they didn't like, I would NEVER INTENTIONALLY mess them up . . . ???? Really- I think the compliments were genuine. "When are you teaching that class?,(referring to the necklace) is always a good sign!
As always- thank you for looking . . .and please have a look at all of the other wonderful items by all of the other wonderful artists on this site! |

CHAMPAGNE PURSE! PERFECT FOR THE HOLIDAYS!! ORDER NOW! I was asked to design a purse for a store I was selling my "stuff" in, and the requirement was something suitable for formal holiday occasions. Don't go to wild (did this woman have my number or what?). OH, RULES! But I did it . . . and the purse was a hit. I sold many of them. I have orders pending this year already. And it's getting close to that time of year- and I need a 7-10 day window for these.
The purse is satin- it comes in several shapes- the one seen here, square, and triangular. On the front, there's a dimensional champagne bottle that has pooped it's cork (Ahhh- a typo! Can you guess where it is and what it should have been?) It was too good to correct- and I will knock off $5.00 for any order with a correct answer. Okay- so the cork has ______ (NO HINTS!)and landed on the other side of the purse. I used a dimensional paint that looks just like real champagne foam, and ran it down the side(s) of the bottle. The big spray of champagne bubbles coming out of the bottle are NOT bubbles at all . . .they are little Swarovski crystals posing as bubbles. These incognito bubbles gradually spread out over and around the bottle. On the back- there is a dimensional, sparkling, champagne flute. Filled with Dom something-or-other . . . And there's that wayward cork laying next to the glass! And those deceiving little bubbles(!)- gently floating up out of the glass. The front and back are waterproofed with 25 coats of a 'secret', flexible glaze that makes the purse look like it's encased in glass. That gives it a slightly surreal look. Nothing about this purse except the purse itself is real . . .it's called Tromp L'oiel painting . . . with a surreal look? I am not sure if I can even use those two methods of painting when referring to the same work! Maybe we'll just say it's my style. If you spill something on it- chances are you'll be safe because you can wipe it clean with a soft, damp cloth and dry it with a soft, dry cloth. The one I have pictured is actually the first one I ever did- I saved it and I've used it and it looks brand new. You, too, can own one! All I need is an order with a small deposit. If you order now- or by December 10th- I will guarantee you will get one (or more if you want more than one). If you do want more than one-please (pretty please?) try get your order in early, if you can . . .okay? The measurements are: 5" across, 4" high, and 2" wide. Plenty of room for fancy gala necessities. It has a hard hand- with 3" of hand room , and a little braided rope shoulder strap.
These make a fabulous gift. So- I am glad I did the project that was asked of me. I don't think this little purse will ever go out of style. |

BLUE RAINBOW NECKLACE: BEADED BLUE NECKLACE WITH BUTTON AND GEMSTONE DROP; HAND BEADED, ADJUSTABLE, DROP BACK TOGGLE CLOSURE W/STICK PEARL TOGGLE! This necklace is another mix of what looked good to me. I hope it looks good to you, as well! I used the brick stitch for the "chain" as it's flexible and lays beautifully at the nape of the neck. The glass "iridescent/rainbow button? It complimented and brought out the plethora of colors in the beads I chose. To further make the fit, I beaded a flower around it- using beads that complimented not only the button, but the beads used for the "chain". I then hung sterling silver chain (dipped in Liver of Sulfur for added "POP!", and hung a beautiful, AAA+ quality, 1.5 by 1 cm, sky blue, faceted piece of Chalcedony. But it needed more- so I added "swinging" drops of multi-colored, double AB coated Swarovski crystal just above the Chalcedony. The adjustable drop back closure took some thinking- but it works beautifully and looks great. You could wear the necklace with the back in the front- but I am most sure that the front would look in the back. However, that is totally up to you! Try it and see if you like it! Anyway- this "closure" is a hand beaded, and works like a toggle- or several put together! It is adjustable in two directions- one to tighten, the other to loosen the necklace. So it can fit necks that are anywhere from 13" around to 17.5" around. The stick pearl acts as the toggle to the beaded "rings". The beaded closure is very strong- I reinforced it by sewing through it four times.
If you like the style of this necklace but would like it in another color, all you need to do is let me know your preference. I can e-mail you a picture of the gemstones and other components I will use in your necklace upon your approval.

Beautiful Blue Beaded Bracelet WOW! Here's an idea that actually started out as a bracelet and ended up as one! Quite a few of my projects start out as ????, and end up as !!!!! This bracelet has a lot of sentimental value to me . . .it's the first one my big sister "swiped by guilt" because she liked it so much. I went to visit her about a week later by masterminding a plan to get it back without arousing her suspicious mind. I told her I needed to reinforce the back and simply it took home. Knowing my beloved sister . . . and she really is wonderful (despite pilfering from family), I banked on the fact that she'd forget all about it. The plan worked -I have the bracelet back in my possession!
The 'canvas' of the bracelet is a combination of matte iris blue and shiny gold iris seed beads. Scattered throughout this canvas are a few other colors of seed beads for contrast, a centerpiece of Dichroic glass, a few small, blue pearls, "other" semi-precious gem stone beads, assorted Swarovsky crystals, and some small red bugle beads. I was going to leave it at that -when my wonderful and generous) SISTER gave me a bag with some beautiful vintage, blood-red flowers and the little multi-toned green leaves. Ohhhhhh(!) . . .what to do, what to do! And just like in a cartoon, a light-bulb went off above my head; I got the Nymo and the needle and the wax out -and went back to work -turning these goodies into fringe. The clasp is a very securely beaded loop that fits around an old Lucite button I had. To further reinforce the bracelet, I backed it with felt and a thin piece of (new), buttery soft leather. It is 7.5" long- but seems to fit any wrist from a 6" to a 7.5". It's about 2"-3" wide in the , and I think the fringe that has motion combined with the width gives it the "doesn't matter where it sits on your wrist" factor. If you would like this bracelet it is available. All of my pieces are one of a kind- and there are some I can make quicker than others. This one falls into the "others" category. I would appreciate a two week (minimum!)notice on these. Also- if you would like a similar bracelet in a color scheme that better suits your taste; have some fun and tell me what you'd like and we can actually create it together! One of the most enjoyable parts of what I do is working with someone to create exactly what they are looking for. Maybe there's a special stone you want in the bracelet for good luck? DONE! Maybe instead of leaves and flowers you'd like the edges plain or with something else dangling from the edges. DONE! The possibilities are endless. I can even send you pictures at different stages so you can tell me what works for you and what doesn't. Wouldn't it be fun to tell your friends that YOU HELPED CREATE IT? Thanks for looking!
